Roles and Responsibilities of Assistant General Manager and Chief Manager in TMB at Salem

Assistant General Manager

Strategic Planning: Assist in formulating and implementing strategic plans for the bank’s operations, including business development, risk management, and financial performance.

Team Management: Supervise and guide various departmental managers and staff to ensure efficient operations and achievement of organizational goals.

Policy Implementation: Ensure all departments adhere to the bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Customer Relationship Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of customer relationships to foster loyalty and satisfaction.

Risk Management: Collaborate with risk management teams to identify and mitigate potential risks to the bank’s assets, reputation, and operations.

Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance indicators, analyze financial reports, and make recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations, and internal policies to minimize legal and regulatory risks.

Business Development: Contribute to developing and implementing strategies to expand the bank’s customer base, products, and services.

Internal Communication: Facilitate effective communication and coordination among different departments and levels of management within the organization.

Representation: Represent the bank in various forums, including meetings with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and community events.

Chief Manager:

Departmental Oversight: Manage and oversee specific departments or functional areas, such as retail banking, corporate banking, credit, operations, or risk management.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to departmental managers and staff, setting goals and priorities to achieve departmental objectives.

Operational Efficiency: Ensure the efficient and effective functioning of departmental operations, processes, and systems.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor departmental performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

Resource Allocation: Allocate human resources, budgetary funds, and technology to support departmental goals and initiatives.

Training and Development: Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the department, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Customer Service: Ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service within the department, resolving customer issues and complaints promptly and satisfactorily.

Risk Management: Manage risks associated with departmental activities, including credit risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and reputational risk.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies governing departmental activities.

Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on departmental performance, activities, and
initiatives to senior management and other stakeholders as required.

Eligibility Criteria of Assistant General Manager and Chief Manager
